how is our school different than your school?- we are in the classrooms sitting in the groups not alone and it’s a different building.

Why did you want to come to Finland?: -It was better than Germany and I wanted to get to know the finish culture.

What do you think of Finland and the finnish nature?: -I find it a nice land

What is the biggest difference between Finland and in the Netherlands? -Finland has more mountains and the Netherlands is flatter.

Do you like being in Finland? -Yes because Finland has so different culture compared to Dutch culture.

Do you like finnish food? -Yes it’s very different and it’s tasty

Do you like the weather? -A little bit because I don’t like winter

What you think about Finland and finnish people before you came here?: -First we were thinking that there is only fish, water and dirty places. But then our mother’s said that it’s very beautiful country, opposite that what we were first thinking.

What you think about Finland now?: -It’s very beautiful country, we like snow, but it’s weird that is April and it’s snowing. I think summer here is beautiful cause trees are green and sun is shining.

What you think about Hakkari?: -It’s smaller than ours school. Is very nice inside.

How ours home life is different in your?: -Well, we don’t have sisters or brothers, my home is very quiet. You have different food. Outside is cold, but inside is very hot everywhere.

What differences are between Finland and Holland?

-There are a lot of trees in Finland, a sauna and there is a little bit warmer in Holland. There is snow in finland.

-What did you expect when you choosed Finland?

-There is cold and snow.

-Gaming, eating, seeping, watching TV, just normal things.

Netherlands culture

Dutch food: we eat cheese, french fries, pancakes

Dutch music: hardcore/hardstyle, rap, pop, Armin van Buuren, Headhunterz,

Dutch fashion: There are many different cultures in Holland, so everybody looks different and in their own style

Dutch tv-programs: The voice of Holland, Xfactor, Divorce, Spongebob, Teletubies, Sesamstraat, Meiden van Holland hard, Goede tijden slechte tijden, Gooische Vrouwen.

There are some bands like Kensington, Armin van Buren and Headhunterz. We watch a lot of YouTube videos. In Holland we have a lot of different cultures so everybody looks different. Also you have of course a few religions like the Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and people without any religion.

A few typical Holland thing are wooden shoes, cheese, and delfts bleu, tulips. Some differences in the school are we don’t have a drama. In Holland we eat a lot of boeren kool. Also a big difference in Holland is that we have a lot of windmills and dikes.
